Lago di Como

A silk bow untied on an embroidered arch over the lake.

Palette

The Brief

An invitation embroidered by hand in the manner of Lake Como — a classical arch on carved stone columns, wisteria falling through it in strings of pearls, orchids and cream roses at its feet, ivy over the jambs, and beyond the opening a balustrade, the water, and the mountains going blue. It opens closed: two ivory linen panels stitched with wisteria and lemons, tied together with a fringed silk bow. Tap, and the bow releases, the panels draw apart, and the arch stands revealed — with the sky inside it empty. Your names and the date are then written into that sky, timed off the film's own clock so they land as the picture comes to rest. The film's linen becomes the page, and the arch, the balustrade and the wisteria become the whole of its ornament: sections parted by a single drawn hairline, the countdown standing between two hand-embroidered columns, the evening strung along a drawn rail, photographs set in arched frames, and the RSVP set inside the arch itself — while the worded invitation is printed straight onto the film's own woven cloth, with no card between it and the linen. Every section heading and both names are set in the Italianno script, with Bodoni Moda — the Didone cut in Parma — carrying the copy beneath them. The premium tier adds the story, the day's programme, the gift registry, and a dress code set on a second hand-embroidered cloth — the whole wedding party stitched across a fringed linen panel, with your palette as skeins of silk thread on the empty weave below them. Bilingual EN/AR with a per-theme language toggle.

what's included

01Tap-to-untie intro film — a fringed silk bow tied over hand-embroidered wisteria and lemons; the ribbon releases, the panels part, and a classical arch stands revealed over the lake
02Your names and the date write themselves into the empty sky inside that arch — the reveal is locked to the film's own clock, so it lands on the right frame on any connection
03The film's last frame stays as the permanent hero, and the page is held still until the arch has opened — nobody scrolls away mid-reveal
04Every section heading and both names set in the Italianno script, with Bodoni Moda — the Didone cut in Parma — for the copy beneath them
05Soundtrack that begins the moment a guest opens the invitation and plays for as long as they stay — with a music control to turn it off
06Worded invitation printed straight onto the film's own woven linen, with no card between the words and the cloth — the RSVP is the one set inside the drawn stone arch, at the other end of the page
07Live countdown standing between two hand-embroidered columns — four figures in one row at every screen size
08Your story in chapters, hung either side of a stem with a wisteria raceme falling at each one
09Venue card with a watercolour of the venue standing over it, the address, date and time, an embedded live map and an Open-in-Maps button
10The order of the day strung as pearls along a drawn rail, closing on a stone balustrade that draws itself in
11Dress code set on a hand-embroidered linen cloth — the wedding party stitched across it, the palette as skeins of silk thread below them, and the cloth itself lengthening to fit whatever your note says
12Photo strip in arched frames that drifts on its own and pauses when you hover it
13Gift registry with your note and the places you have listed
14RSVP form set inside the arch — name, coming or not, headcount and a note
15Closing plate with your names, the date and your hashtag, standing on the balustrade
16Every animation honours reduced-motion: the film is skipped and the page arrives finished and readable
17Bilingual EN/AR with a per-theme language toggle and Arabic typography (Amiri + Tajawal)
