Lago di Como
A silk bow untied on an embroidered arch over the lake.
The Brief
An invitation embroidered by hand in the manner of Lake Como — a classical arch on carved stone columns, wisteria falling through it in strings of pearls, orchids and cream roses at its feet, ivy over the jambs, and beyond the opening a balustrade, the water, and the mountains going blue. It opens closed: two ivory linen panels stitched with wisteria and lemons, tied together with a fringed silk bow. Tap, and the bow releases, the panels draw apart, and the arch stands revealed — with the sky inside it empty. Your names and the date are then written into that sky, timed off the film's own clock so they land as the picture comes to rest. The film's linen becomes the page, and the arch, the balustrade and the wisteria become the whole of its ornament: sections parted by a single drawn hairline, the countdown standing between two hand-embroidered columns, the evening strung along a drawn rail, photographs set in arched frames, and the RSVP set inside the arch itself — while the worded invitation is printed straight onto the film's own woven cloth, with no card between it and the linen. Every section heading and both names are set in the Italianno script, with Bodoni Moda — the Didone cut in Parma — carrying the copy beneath them. The premium tier adds the story, the day's programme, the gift registry, and a dress code set on a second hand-embroidered cloth — the whole wedding party stitched across a fringed linen panel, with your palette as skeins of silk thread on the empty weave below them. Bilingual EN/AR with a per-theme language toggle.
