The Brief

The opening invitation for a kitchen. It starts in the dining room after hours: one lamp, one laid place, and a silver cloche over the plate — a tap lifts the dome, steam curls off the plate, and the place card underneath carries the restaurant's name. Inside it is linen and olive and one candle: the name over your own dining-room photo, a short worded invitation set straight on the cloth, and a countdown to the first seating. Then the section that makes this a restaurant theme rather than a shop one — the opening menu, printed as a real menu card with courses under ruled headings — and, before it, the page's centrepiece: seen from above, a place setting that lays itself as you scroll. Plate, napkin, fork, knife, spoon, glass and candle arrive one at a time, and the place card lands on the plate last. The opening offer is presented the way a restaurant presents anything: as the bill, line items on dotted leaders inside a dark olive folder. Then the room in a strip that pans as you scroll, the address with opening hours, call and social actions, a short reservation form so the kitchen knows how many to cook for, and a closing coaster with your initial. No hearts and no script — it is designed to be sent to diners, press and neighbours.
